Media on this page is protected and can thus only be played in supported, modern webbrowsers, such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome (limitations apply, iOS incompatible). Unsupported
browsers will load a fallback video in 300p. Continue reading below to learn more about why we chose to do this.
Why is media on this page protected/encrypted?
When we started this project, we weighed up the pros and cons of protecting content and concluded that it is our duty to protect media on this site from unauthorized
redistribution. We understand that not everyone is content with this decision, so please provide your feedback if you think we should have made a different decision.
What are the technical implications of this?
Content on this page is served trough MSE and EME using a ClearKey implementation. Even though support for this feature is required by the W3C standard, some browsers such as Microsoft Edge or Apple Safari on iOS provide limited or no
support. Such browsers will show a fallback in inferior quality, which is currently 300p instead of the maximum 720p. We may lift this limitation in the future if we
notice that the original videos circulate online.
You some kind of Netflix? 🤨
No, we are not. We do not use any proprietary DRM solutions, such as Google Widevine or Microsoft
PlayReady. MPEG-CENC is a completely open, standardized container format requiring no proprietary code.
